If you look at Apples successful marketing campaigns, which made people think Apple is cool again, you’ll see that they just had a couple silhouettes of people dancing around to high energy music and their earphones bouncing around.

By associating apple ipods with music you liked anyways, suddenly the ipod embodied the music you loved. What I find silly is this was true of Sony walkmans, cd-players 20 year prior to Apple taking a stab at it.

Therefore, I believe marketing is simply exploiting Pavlov insight from his experiment on his dog’s salivation experiments.

Essentially, Pavlov’s dogs were conditioned to anticipate when they would be feed, thereby causing the dogs to salivate without actually showing them the food. By ringing a bell shortly before they were feed, the dogs would salivate every-time they heard the bell, in anticipate of being feed.

I would argue, Apple’s Marketing team effectively conditioned people to reach for their ipods, when ever they saw/heard an apple commercial.

All of which, goes back to propaganda, brain washing, masked as Education in the last century. If you really think about all of which is a conditioned response to stimuli.

I’ve been pine’n over weather or not I should buy an cintq, but its so expensive $2,500. I guess some dudes thought that was reticules too, and just started building them. Mad props.

I loved Tyson Moive, Spike Lee, really knows how to tell a story. But what he did with Mike Tyson’s story was something else, probably one of the most famous figures in the 1980′s. Tyson’s story of a rag’s to riches, but the story of how his success was corrupted by Fame, and wealth, is a lesson’s celebrities today are leaning the hard way.

Interestingly enough, Google Andriod, actually uses the Arduino Protocal, for external devieces which allows you to install an app or something on your Google Andriod, then hook it up to an Ardunio which would control the mechanical parts.

I like apple and their products, but god damn, do they like to dramatize their commercials. It feels like they want you to belive moses came down from the mountain, and told his people what god told him.

I appreciate the thought and effort Apple puts into their products, but come on this is not a religious movement.

I tend to agree with Wozniak. Since his time at Apple, he’s been free to do whatever he wants, with or with out Apple’s blessing. Ironically, his free open speech, has made him a father figure for technology advocates, and technologies uses.

As people discuss NSA spying on Verison Customers, or Facebook, Google, Apple, Yahoo users data. Notice, how myspace wasn’t mentioned, maybe its because they don’t exist anymore? But Richard brings up a good a point, that software can be used to for good and evil. He should know he spent his life trying to make sure software was used for good.

After the inital fear, or being watched online, I came to the conclusion the only way to hide in a crowd, was to pollute the data stream. Create many online alias, that are false or misleading profiles, inorder to confuse who ever was watching you.
